One of Canada’s ten most wanted fugitives arrested in Castellón | Spain

The National Police arrested in Castellón de la Plana a fugitive included in the list of the ten most wanted in Canada and wanted by the Canadian authorities for crimes of fraud, identity theft and trafficking of personal information, for which he risks a sentence of 14 years in prison.

According to police sources, the now detained person purchased, between January 2017 and September 2020, data lists of members and customers of a financial services company and carried out several frauds, causing a loss of almost two million Canadian dollars.

The investigation began earlier this year, when officers learned that the fugitive, who had an international arrest warrant in force, may be in Spain. Thanks to the exchange of information from the FAST National Network, the National Police was able to concentrate its searches on the area where the person under investigation resided and on November 6, after several checks, he was arrested while he was in a bar in Castellón.
