The departments of Ardèche, Loire and Rhône will be on orange alert for rain and flood risk on Saturday, Météo-France announced on Friday, November 14.
This episode, which had not yet started on Friday night, had not yet begun “not unusual for this season” but requires attention because “heavy rain intensity”accompanied by a thunderstorm. Large water accumulations are expected, the agency said in its latest bulletin.
“The rainstorm area is currently affecting the Massif Central region” and will reach three departments in the next few hours, Météo-France added late Friday.
“Episodes of thunderstorms are expected to continue throughout Saturday, shifting towards the Rhône valley, the Alps and the PACA region. (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur) »closing the bulletin.
The orange alert will be in effect from 00:00 to midnight on Saturday.
