Vanoni suffered a heart attack at home just before 11 p.m. 118 rescuers arrived when the singer was already dead. Her final television appearance was on “Che tempo che fa” on November 2. Very elegant in light grey, Vanoni presented herself with a flower crown and joked with Fabio Fazio about the death anniversary invitation. “You’re in great shape,” Fazio told him. “I think so,” the singer replied. “I’m sick. You think I’m fit but I’m pretending, I’m playing the role but I don’t feel good,” he added with a smile. “But I’m a serious person in life, I’ve done important things, why do I always have to make people laugh here?”, he joked while saying goodbye to the audience.
