The current spokesperson of the PP in Las Corts Valenciana, Juan Francisco Pérez Llorca, has presented his candidacy for the presidency of the Generalitat, because he sees the agreement with Vox as very close: “If not, I wouldn’t do it”
The PP parliamentary group presented Pérez Llorca’s candidacy to appoint Carlos Mazón president of the Generalitat this morning in the chancellery of Les Corts. In his first appearance before the media as an official candidate, Pérez Llorca acknowledged that the deal with Vox is not closed, but repeated that there is great “harmony”, “friendliness” and “shared sense of responsibility” in the talks with the far-right party, whose votes (it has 13 deputies) are needed by the PP (40 deputies out of a total of 99). “If I didn’t see it that way, I wouldn’t run,” the candidate said.
Vox spokesperson, José María Llanos, confirmed the good harmony with the PP, although he reiterated that the agreement has not yet been closed and that his party’s intention is to arrive at the plenary investiture session with the agreement reached. This Thursday Les Corts will decide the day of celebration of the plenary session which will be convened next week
