Donald Trump has made the “war on drug trafficking” an axis of his foreign policy to show his strength and put pressure on inconvenient governments. Since last summer, more than 60 people have died in operations against drug traffickers in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific off Venezuela, aimed at forcing the downfall of Nicolás Maduro. Washington is already talking about a “phase two”: a possible landing by land. Is it feasible?
