Milan, November 13 (askanews) – “With Italy, I said it from the start, I will do it a hundred times even if you oppose it a hundred times. With other countries, never. I say this to other countries and when they ask me ‘why?’, I answer ‘because you are not Italy, that’s a problem.’ This is how the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, responded when asked if he regrets the Protocol on migrants signed with Italy in a press session with Giorgia Meloni.
“You ask me if I regret it, but if you who have been asking the same question for two years don’t regret it, how can I regret it when I have done hundreds of other things with your Prime Minister?”, he told the journalist.
“I cannot say what those who follow the news will understand”, continued Rama, speaking to journalists at the end of the Italian-Albanian intergovernmental summit, “because here we are talking about many joint projects which are not only good projects for Albania, but are good projects for Italy. It is no problem for Italy to know that the submarine interconnection project is underway and this means that in a reasonable time they will be able to see the results in their draft law”.
