Three boys, 2 Moroccans and 1 Tunisian, were arrested on charges of sexual assault and robbery following the incident the rape of an 18-year-old child that occurred on the evening of October 25 in the Tor Tre Teste park in Rome.
The girl was with her boyfriend, isolated in the car, when the three boys broke the car window and one of them grabbed the girl, forced her out and then raped her while the other two held her boyfriend down.
When the two victims managed to call the police, the group of three or more boys ran away. The investigation was carried out by identifying the three boys through photographic elements submitted by the police and then tracking down the three attackers. Two of them were found in Quarticciolo, another in Verona. One of the attackers was recognized by the girl as the perpetrator of the rape.
The DNA test results returned the DNA of the boy who was in the car, but did not confirm the DNA of the boy who was indicated as the alleged perpetrator of the violence. Currently, the three of them are still in prison, in accordance with the detention order from the public prosecutor. The suspects’ cellphones were confiscated. The investigation continues.
