Hans-Michael Weisky is the new president of Bavaria red Cross (BRK). The 67-year-old was elected by around 400 delegates at the state assembly in Deggendorf for a four-year term, BRK announced.
“For me, the position of President of BRK means an honor and a duty full of responsibility,” Weisky was quoted as saying in a statement after his election. She is a member of the BRK Traunstein district association and takes over the new position from Angelika Schorer, who is not running for re-election. Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) opened the BRK state meeting.
