UK fintech Revolut is a roller coaster in terms of valuation. A fundraising round valued the neobank at around $5.5 billion in 2020, before its valuation exploded to $33 billion a year later in a new funding round, taking it to the top of the fintech rankings. In 2023, amid rising interest rates, some shareholders will reduce the value of their holdings in Revolut by around 40%, which also raises compliance and transparency issues for its accounts in the UK.

However, in the latest round of funding, with a raise of one billion dollars, according to the Financial Times, the fintech once again reached new heights with a valuation equivalent to $75 billion. Last summer, its valuation had returned to around $45 billion. “The interest shown by investors and our new valuation demonstrate the strength of our business model, which is delivering rapid growth and strong profitability”underlined Victor Stinga, chief financial officer, in a press release.
