Kiev, November 12 (askanews) – The war in Ukraine is getting worse and both sides are claiming victory and exchanging accusations. Russia has stepped up pressure on Ukraine, and Kiev appears to be increasingly in trouble. Moscow troops took advantage of the thick fog in Pokrovsk to penetrate the city of Donetsk which had been under siege for days. The Kremlin also claims to control the entire eastern part of the city of Kupyansk in Kharkiv Oblast. “The situation is difficult,” Zelensky admitted. But he announced that more than 150 Russian drones had been shot down since the start of this month and that Kiev would continue to develop interceptor drone technology.”
Ukrainian media talked about massive bombings carried out by Moscow which caused many power outages. According to Russian authorities, the attacks targeted military, industrial and command infrastructure, but Kiev also reported damage to civilian buildings.
The difficulties for Zelensky also come from within, after a corruption scandal in recent days the Ukrainian government decided to dismiss Justice Minister Galushenko.
