Sander celebrates his 65th birthday: Why the coach was so good for Magdeburg | sport

Magdeburg coach Petrik Sander celebrated his 65th birthday on Monday. As a family man, the fox trainer will celebrate at his home in Berlin. The second division team will only start training again on Tuesday after the international break.

Then preparations for the fight in Düsseldorf began for Sander. FCM will be looking to score important points in the relegation battle there on Saturday. Since Sanders took office, confidence has returned to the club. With him, the jump out of the dungeon will be successful.

Recently, sporting director Otmar Schork kept a low profile regarding whether Sander and his fellow coach Pascal Ibold would lead the team until the winter break or even the end of the season. According to BILD information, the club is willing to keep Sander in the managerial position until the end of the season.

Great sander for FCM!

The coach has recently stressed repeatedly: “We are ready and want to help. We enjoy working with the players.” But he also knows that points are needed to stay in the league. Harmony alone will not work.

In the test match against Schweinfurt (0:1), Sander was able to gain new insight into which professional players are ready to face the relegation battle. Sander explained: “It’s always easy for players to say, I didn’t get a chance. The match showed why that happens.”

This also applies to Sander, who mentions critical things honestly and doesn’t like to beat around the bush.
