Seine-et-Marne: they hid two sheep in the trunk of their BMW

They probably thought they were going to find pot containing cocaine. But what they were aiming for was the sheep. When they were mobilized in various sectors of the Coulommiers company (Seine-et-Marne), Saturday evening, the police made an unusual discovery. During a check in Pierre-Levée, between Crécy-la-Chapelle and La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, they found a BMW 5 Series carrying… two sheep in the trunk.

“The three Romanian nationals on board the plane could not provide an explanation regarding the origin of the animal,” explained a person familiar with the matter. They each presented a different version. »

While waiting to find out whether the sheep were stolen and, if so, from which owner, the three men were detained by police and the animals were placed in a safe place. The soldiers were trying to find out whether they belonged to local ranchers or came from thefts committed in the surrounding area.

“In our sector, animal theft is not uncommon, especially on farms,” recalled one soldier, who recalled another case in which La Ferté-Gaucher police recovered a pig stolen from a Renault Scénic.

Saturday night, between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., company staff are deployed to track speeders or narcotics as part of anti-rogue flow control between Paris and major city suburbs.

They are present in Crécy-la-Chapelle, at the exit of the A4 motorway, in Fontenay-Trésigny, Lumigny, La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, La Ferté-Gaucher and Pierre-Levée. At night, they record more classic offenses such as driving under the influence of drugs or without a driver’s license or even a forged driver’s license.
