There’s an acid green bike from California giant Lime, and a blue bike from French-Dutch operator Dott. Since October 1, they have been joined, on the Paris bike lanes, by the red bikes of the Swedish company Voi, winner – with two of its rivals already present in the capital – of the appeal appeal examined this summer by the Paris city hall to grant permission to three operators to operate free-floating two-wheeled vehicles on the capital’s streets.
Like Lime and Dott, this new player in Paris’ highly active micro-mobility market will be able to operate up to 6,000 electric-assisted bikes (and up to 7,500 during the summer period) over the next four years. According to the brand manager, this fleet, which was fully deployed in just four days, immediately found its audience.
