Star guest in Lower Saxony: Film credit to Sandra Hülser: I am delighted with this recognition

Hollywood actress Sandra Hülser does not distinguish many awards for her work. “There’s actually no ranking for me,” Hülser said at the international film festival in Braunschweig. “I’m happy when what I do is recognized,” he said, referring to the evening’s awards ceremony.

In Braunschweig, Hülser received “Die Europa”, the festival’s top prize worth 25,000 euros. The jury said that the actress deserved to make a name for herself in the world of international cinema with her “diversified nature”.

Nominated for an Oscar as leading actress

The 47-year-old hails from Thuringia and is known internationally for her roles in the award-winning dramas “Anatomy of a Case” and “The Zone of Interest.” Last year, Hülser was nominated for an Oscar for best actress for “Anatomy of a Case.”

The festival in Braunschweig has honored actors and actresses since 2007 – including Mario Adorf, Mads Mikkelsen, Senta Berger and Brendan Gleeson – for their outstanding acting achievements over the years and their contribution to European film culture. “I’m very happy that this is the framework,” Hülser said of the award.

These developments show that national borders are playing less of a role and that the European film community is working more and more together. You can easily learn multiple languages. “Then you have to put in a little effort and then you can act in other films.”
