The construction of the Christmas market is in the final stages – and in a few days it will happen again: the market will open and emit a delicious aroma of cinnamon and mulled wine. Mulled wine is one of the absolute classics in many markets. Visitors to the southwest should prepare for a moderate increase in the price of the popular hot drink this year.

At the Christmas market in Ravensburg, hot drinks have become more expensive and this year they cost between four euros and 4.50 euros, as announced by the municipality. Compared to the previous year, the price increased by 50 cents. The reason: general price increases, as the spokesperson said. The Christmas Market starts on November 28.
The Christmas market in Karlsruhe starts on November 24. Here, suppliers determine their own prices, as announced by the city government. However, the DKI Provincial Government did not provide a current price range when asked. “Because general price developments have also increased this year, it cannot be denied that the price of mulled wine could also increase.” In 2024, the price range for mulled wine will be between 4 and 5 euros.
