Startup company Greenlyte turns climate toxins into new tank fuel

The pilot plant is located at the test field at the Center for Fuel Cell Technology (ZBT) in Duisburg. It consists of two pale green stacked vessels, a slender silvery tower and all manner of boilers, equipment and pipes. The equipment, according to the startup Greenlyte that owns it, promises to capture the harmful greenhouse gas carbon dioxide from the air and process it into valuable materials. For example, synthetic natural gas can be used to heat buildings, while elsewhere technology allows the gas to be used to produce sustainable aviation fuel or fuel for ships or tanks.
