“Data from the survey submitted by Dire – Women online against violence makes us face the urgency of intervening to support women victims of violence in accessing prevention and treatment pathways. Health is a universal right and in the fight against gender violence, health becomes an instrument of rebirth, recognition and self-determination.” So the Honorable Martina Semenzato, president of the Parliamentary Commission to investigate feminization, in a video message sent to the ‘Health belongs to everyone’ event, organized by Dire with the support of Novartis, today in Milan.
“Our commitment, as an institution – added Semenzato – must be aimed at supporting and collaborating with anti-violence centers, which are confirmed as places of care in the truest sense: not only spaces where one can escape violence, but also for the reconstruction of health and identity and the power of choice”.
