Munich actor and director Michael “Bully” Herbig received the jury’s honorary Bambi award for his encouragement. “In times like the ones we are experiencing now, we need people who make us laugh,” said Funke program guide deputy editor-in-chief and Bambi jury member Jens-Peter Behr. Herbig achieved “what everyone is grateful for: he made the whole country laugh.” Anything the 57-year-old man touches turns to gold. The actor recently achieved resounding success in cinema with “The Canoe of Manitu”.
Bambi is one of Germany’s most important media and television awards. The gala will be broadcast live from Bavaria Filmstudios on Prime Video this Thursday. This year awards will be given in more than twelve categories.
