Ten years after the November 13 attacks, “life wins” – Liberation

It’s a night that’s seared into the collective memory. Everyone remembers, it has become customary to say, what they did on the evening of Friday 13 November 2015. The unusual sweetness had driven some people to the terraces of Paris, others were overjoyed while watching a concert at the Bataclan, while some took a walk near the Stade de France, where the France-Germany match was being played. Violence resulting from terrorism impacted lives, causing 132 deaths (including two subsequent suicides) and hundreds of injuries. Ten years after the deadliest post-war attack, days of tribute will be held this Thursday in Saint-Denis and Paris, at the sites attacked by jihadi commandos.
