The Alpes-Maritimes joined the Ardèche and Drôme in orange alert on Sunday morning

An orange alert is in effect throughout the morning of Sunday in Ardèche and Drôme, with the possibility of exacerbating the situation. The Alpes-Maritimes will be affected until 6 p.m.

The departments of Ardèche, Drôme and Alpes-Maritimes have been placed under an orange “rain flood” alert on Sunday, November 16, according to the latest Météo-France bulletin issued on Saturday, at 10 p.m. “New thunderstorms will return late in the evening from Saturday to Sunday in the south of the region, and will again significantly irrigate the Ardèche and Drôme plains, and especially the Rhône valley”reported the weather forecaster.

Ardèche and Drôme are on alert from 06.00 to 12.00, while Alpes-Maritimes is on alert until 18.00. “Uncertainty about the location and intensity of rain is still significantcontinued Météo-France. Shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday, the first orange warning for “rain flooding” was lifted for the Loire, Rhône and Ardèche. These three departments were impacted by this alert from midnight Friday through Saturday.
