The former Prince Andrew’s downfall never ends. The British government will revoke the last remaining honorary military title of King Charles III’s brother, Defense Minister John Healey announced on Sunday, November 2.

The British monarch announced on Thursday that his younger brother was stripped of his royal titles, due to growing public disapproval over Andrew, 65,’s relationship with American financier and sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019.

“We have seen Andrew relinquish the honorary titles he held in the army, and, again under the king’s leadership, we now seek to revoke the final title he held, that of vice admiral.”the Defense Minister told the BBC.

He also added that the government would follow the king’s advice regarding the military medals Andrew earned during his career. The king’s younger brother participated in the Falklands War in 1982, as a helicopter pilot in the Royal Navy. He retired from the Army in 2001 after twenty-two years of service.

This series of announcements comes after the publication of the posthumous memoirs of Virginia Giuffre, Jeffrey Epstein’s main accuser. In 2001, he initiated proceedings against Charles III’s brother for sexual abuse when he was a teenager. The latter always denied having a sexual relationship with Virginia Giuffre but paid her several million dollars as part of an out-of-court settlement in 2022..

The new revelations could further tarnish the former prince’s image. Sunday, Time claims that in recent years, any mention of Epstein’s victims in Buckingham Palace communications about the scandal has always been rejected by Andrew. Documents published as part of the procedures in the United States, and revealed on Saturday by the British press, also report an email exchange between the former prince and Jeffrey Epstein in 2010, shortly after the American was released from prison where he was serving a sentence for pimping minors. In one of these emails, Andrew specifically stated to the email that he would do so “Nice to meet you in person.”
