Minimalism, so appreciated in art and architecture, also exists in chess, especially in some artistic endings, like the two in this video. In both, the simplicity of limiting oneself to the essentials produces a beauty of great impact, but also has great educational value because it generates useful lessons for a live game.

Both studies have the common factor that the defending side has very limited space. And another, linked to its composers, the Hungarian Pal Farago (1886-1970), naturalized Romanian, and the Soviet Alexánder Guliáyev (1908-1998): both were very long-lived, and dedicated almost all of their long lives to the creation of great beauty in the frame of 64 squares.
