Once you’ve invested in a spacious, all-terrain bag to tackle your daily agenda without having to travel home, it’s time to embrace the trend and fantasize about a bag bag this fall. While the paper bag and other formats without seams or closures continue to be strong for another season, there’s a compact silhouette with a mothballed air that has all the makings of becoming this season’s key bag.

With an often rectangular body (but also satchel or bucket), it is an evolution of the ‘ladylike’ bag that the catwalk defended tooth and nail in autumn 2023. This accessory which managed to put an end to the dictatorship of curvy bags that we have experienced in the last decade, now takes on a new interpretation with two handles of greater length and minimum thickness.

Almost always rigid and sometimes with a closure to compact them as proposed by Max Mara or Alaïa, they allow you to carry it on your shoulder but also keep it firmly in your hand. With a zip, built-in belt or side ties, it covers a wide palette of colors and prints, such as animal print or tartan. And it’s just the beginning.

Le Teckel, from Alaïa

Its elongated shape pays homage to the dog breed that bears its name, with two decorative bows and a zip closure. Includes a removable mirror inside.

Robin of Mercules

Small but sturdy and (above all) spacious. With two endless stripes in sweet colors such as mauve, powder pink or pistachio, this design from the Spanish brand fits much more than we imagine.

90s, by Rouje

The Jeanne Damas brand pays homage to the baguette bags that reigned in the ’90s with a chest-shaped design and magnetic closure. The pink liner completes the formula female of the French prescriber.

Fleca granulosa, of Hereu

The Spanish brand that Dakota Johnson loves in the film materialists, signature this bag handmade in top quality leather. The handles, in addition to being thin and rigid, end with a knot at the ends, a distinctive sign of the company.

Bonnie from Prada

With a built-in belt and an infinite palette of colors ranging from sage green (in the image) to rosewood or burgundy, among others, it is Miuccia Prada’s great ‘ladylike’ bet for this autumn.

Helios, by Mansur Gavriel

The brand founded by Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel in 2012 leaves its ‘monochromatic’ comfort zone with the soft mottled suede version of one of its best-sellers.

Chihuahua, by BIMBA Y LOLA

The great commitment of the Galician company last year in terms of accessories is still very current with its bucket in autumn colors such as caramel, camel or stone.

Ebau, by Miu Miu

The great culprit of thin handle fever is renewed this season with finishes in check wool and leather, in a play of contrasts in the purest Miu Miu style.

Boat, by Osoi

Our grandmothers’ bag with a mouthpiece closure is transformed into a modern icon thanks to pure colors such as off-white and patent black.

The New York, by Demellier

This compact edition designed by Alison Toby features a crocodile effect version. It retains the original model’s iconic details like exaggerated handles and belted straps.

Wanderer Names

The Swedish brand adds a mini size of the classic Nomi to its catalog this autumn, made of cognac leather and finishing on the edges.

Simona, from Khaite

The New York brand founded by Catherine Holstein revisits its icon created in 2024 with new textures and shades for this season. The calfskin and canary yellow design is our favorite.

Taytum, from Call It Spring

The rounded shape and the crests of the handles are a faithful portrait of the ‘ladylike’ bag that was popular in the Sixties. Made of synthetic leather.

Nova by JW Pei

One Way dosmilera to address the trend: rectangular case, double zipper closure and chocolate brown synthetic leather.

Beatrice, from the Reformation

The Los Angeles brand incorporates this retro design with belt loops, silver hardware and belt in its catalog this season. It has a bronze gray suede version.

Hazelnut by Charles Keith

With a trapezoidal case and slats on the sides, it will be the favorite design for those faithful to 90s minimalism.

Duffle bag, by Max Mara

Made of calfskin in the Italian brand’s laboratories, its compact body like a beauty case includes a strip to compact the handles in a single gesture.
