A man has been arrested for his alleged connection with the murder that occurred this Saturday of his ex-partner, a 60-year-old woman, in the town of Rincón de la Victoria, in Malaga. This has been reported Europa Press several sources close to the investigations, who specified that the events occurred on Saturday morning in the Cotomar area of the said locality.
The neighbors warned that a couple was arguing, so the Andalusia Emergency 112 alerted the Guardia Civil and the Andalusian Women’s Institute was also informed. Furthermore, members of the local police also appeared. Thus, the officers found the woman’s body with signs of violence and arrested her ex-partner. According to sources, the main line of the investigation is sexist violence and there are no previous complaints.
So far this year, 38 women have been killed by their partners or ex-partners. Since official statistics began in 2003, there are 1,333 women.
