Milan, November 21 (Adnkronos) – “The Italian recycling model is excellent. Our country is certainly an example.” Therefore, Letizia Moratti (Mep Commission Itre), at the event organized by Conai in collaboration with Corriere della Sera, at the Milan Stock Exchange entitled ‘The future of sustainability between emerging challenges and competitive transition’.
“Italy has exceeded the 2025 target and in 2024 we will have reached 76.7% recycling, therefore a model that Europe and other countries should consider. To do this – continues Moratti – the old continent must simplify the rules, direct them towards results, focus on innovation of processes and products, thereby encouraging investment. This does not make one country think of waste in a certain way and another country classify it in a different way”.
