A woman’s severed hand was found on the A45 on Monday evening. Soon it was discovered that it belonged to a woman whose child had been abandoned in front of a convent. The two cases are related. Now new details are starting to become known.
Police have released new details about a mysterious woman’s hand on the A45. The case has troubled authorities for days. On Monday evening, police received information that there was an object on the A45 road near the Olpe-Süd motorway junction.
During the examination, they saw a terrible sight: it was two severed hands.
A day later it was revealed that the woman’s hand belonged to an Eritrean woman. Her three-month-old baby had been taken into care by authorities on Sunday after a monk found her in front of a monastery in Waldsolms, about 90 kilometers away. The two were last registered in asylum accommodation in Bonn.
Now the police are desperately searching for the mother and are hoping for help from the public because: As part of the investigation, it was discovered that a silver car with a Bonn number plate was turning around near the monastery on Sunday evening.
“We want to know who was involved and whether this person has anything to do with this case,” said a police spokesman. At the same time, witnesses are being sought who made suspicious observations in the A45 area between the Olpe-Süd and Freudenberg junctions on Monday evening. It is unclear whether the woman is still alive.
