Meanwhile, Iran’s Intelligence Ministry has warned of attempts by external enemies, including the United States and Israel, to target supreme leader Ali Khamenei and destabilize the Islamic Republic. The Isna agency reported it, citing minister Esmail Khatib: “The enemy is trying to attack the supreme leader, sometimes with assassination attempts, sometimes with hostile attacks”, and adding that anyone who acts in this direction “is consciously or unconsciously a compromised enemy agent”.
