Milan, November 12 (askanews) – The third edition of Call Tech Action, the event dedicated to innovation, training and work in the FinTech, InsurTech and PropTech sectors, was presented in Milan. From November 24 to 28, free meetings and panels will discuss how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are changing finance, insurance and real estate markets. We spoke with Gimede Gigante, Director of Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship (ICE) SDA Bocconi:
“This initiative was created thanks to several universities, including ASDA Bocconi and several trade associations. This year in its third edition we see all trade associations from the world of FinTech, InsuranceTech and PropTech involved and other universities have also joined, such as the University of Milan.”
An opportunity to look into the future and clarify what skills are decisive for working in Fintech. Michelangelo Bottesini, President of ItaliaFintech then spoke:
“FinTech is certainly one of the most attractive sectors for the younger generation because currently technology is very interesting, so the idea of working between technology and finance is important. The skills that are most needed are STEM skills, analytical skills, financial analysis skills, risk management and a good dose of technology.”
Important figures also for the Insurtech sector. In the first six months of 2025, 230 million euros were invested in the insurance ecosystem and it is expected to reach 510 million by the end of the year. We then spoke with Simone Ranucci Brandimarte, President and co-founder of IIA and Yolo Group:
“Digitalization of the insurance sector began in 2020, namely with the massive presence of platforms, digital processes, technology which are the heritage of the world of insurance. In 2020 to 2030 the percentage of insurance businesses switching to digital platforms will increase from 20% to 80%, so this is very significant growth.”
Italian proptech also continues its growth with 443 solutions mapped, a clear increase compared to 2024. Finally we spoke with Silvia Leoncini, Research Fellow Politecnico di Milano Dep. A B C:
“PropTech is a strategic initiative born in the municipality of Milan with the support of the municipal government of Milan and we at PropTech, which represents a sector that is still smaller compared to FinTech and InsuranceTech, have certainly benefited a lot from the synergies created in this initiative in an ecosystem that grows every year and sees new members plus a part of history that still exists”. Milan is establishing itself as the capital of innovation, where technology and training, also thanks to Call Tech Action, support the country’s digital evolution.
