Today, as every year, France commemorates the armistice and end of the First World War. On this occasion, Jean-Jacques Goldman wanted to send them a message.
Under his post as ambassador for the Bleuet de France – an association that helps veterans and their families, as well as victims of terrorism – he shared the handwritten letter, which was published by France Télévisions.
“There is no peace without guardians, no freedom without armies; we may tend to forget it, but current events remind us of it dramatically every day,” the document said.
“Thanks to our soldiers”
“It seems important to me to show our gratitude to our soldiers, those who were injured, and in general to all the security forces who protect us every day,” he added.
“I am happy and proud to be able to help the Bleuet de France, which supports those who protect us and their families,” the singer wrote.
On the occasion of the anniversary of November 11, Jean-Jacques Goldman today revealed the clip of the song “On sera là”, which he composed for the 100th anniversary of the Bleuet de France. A few months ago, France’s favorite singer actually came out of artistic retirement to write this song, performed by Eloïz and Yvard for the “Sentinelles d’un soir” solidarity concert on April 10, 2025 in Paris.
This Tuesday morning, President Emmanuel Macron presided over ceremonies on the Champs-Élysées and at the Arc de Triomphe. He especially paid his respects in front of the statue of Georges Clemenceau before relighting the flame of the Unknown Soldier under the Arc de Triomphe.
