Pecan bushes are very easy to propagate. There are three different methods for this. An overview of how it works.

Harvesting delicious hazelnuts straight from the garden in autumn will make you happy and leave you wanting more. Plant propagation not only makes sense, but also creates living space and food sources for wildlife. But how to propagate pecan bushes? Hazelnuts can be successfully propagated using these three simple methods.

The best time is autumn, when pruning comes. Branch tips approximately ten centimeters long are required for cuttings. You simply take the strongest pruning branch, remove the leaves from the bottom third and then place it in a pot filled with potting soil at this level.

The pot should be placed in a bright place but not in full sun and the soil should be kept moist. After a few weeks, the cuttings will root. Shoots are usually not visible until the following spring. At that time the cuttings are ready to be planted in the field. After Ice Saints they can be planted.

How to lower it is also not complicated and often works. Here’s how it works:

To ensure that the ballast really takes root, the following steps are recommended:

Alternatively, you can plant pecans naturally in the fall. This can be done directly in the garden or in a pot with potting soil. However, this method is only intended for those who are patient, because it will take several years for the beans to become a real bush. Young plants from cuttings and planters produce their own pecans much earlier.

For a bountiful pecan harvest, the bushes need a bright but not full sun location, loose, deep and well-ventilated soil as well as sufficient space and regular pruning. It’s also important to plant at least two different varieties, as hazelnuts are cross-pollinators. This will produce a good harvest.

Before planting a pecan in its place, it is advisable to think it over carefully. Once pecan bushes become established, they will sprout and be difficult to remove completely.
