Threats: 26-year-old hunter detained after receiving threats against refugees

A 26-year-old hunter was detained because he threatened to be taken to the state’s initial refugee reception center. Elwangen to kill as many people as possible. The man was from Crailsheim (Schwäbisch Hall district). He was accused of preparing serious acts of violence that endangered the country.

Aalen police and the Stuttgart prosecutor’s office said five firearms, several knives and a large amount of ammunition were seized from his apartment. The man had a hunting license and legally owned a gun. An arrest warrant has now been issued against the German citizen and the man is in custody. A possible motive for the crime remains to be determined, a spokesman for the district attorney’s office said.

Threatening video found?

According to Südwestrundfunk, investigators are said to have found videos of the 26-year-old threatening on social media platforms. The man is said to appear shirtless in the video. Two markings, possibly tattoos, were visible on his chest – one of which was said to be a swastika.

Strobl also said in Stuttgart that the Ellwangen case once again shows that security authorities are vigilant and taking consistent action. “Very serious crimes can be prevented here.” Any form of hate crime is an attack on democratic values ​​and we oppose it.
