Milan, November 21 (Adnkronos) – “The geopolitical context is having a depressive effect on consumers. We live in times of uncertainty that are difficult to avoid, which is why we must try to adapt and develop resilience.” These are the words of Nathalie Tocci, director of the International Affairs Institute, guest at the “Modern Distribution Forum 2025. Retail in the country’s economy: market, technology and society”, organized in Milan by Federdistributione – Modern distribution company.
“The big problem is understanding the extent to which the ongoing conflict can impact value and supply chains. On the other hand, a climate of greater risk, increasing insecurity and greater uncertainty has a depressive effect on consumers who tend to avoid risks and all this also causes a decline on the demand side,” he concluded.
