Three people were injured in a collision between a car and a tram in Stuttgart, including a small child. A 37-year-old man wanted to turn his car illegally and cross the tracks, police said. The driver was seriously injured when his car collided with the train.
The 22-year-old passenger and a small child who was also in the car suffered minor injuries. The three were reportedly taken to hospital. According to initial police findings, no one was injured on the U14 tram. The road was initially closed for clean-up work following the crash. According to police, the damage caused reached tens of thousands of euros.
According to police reports, a 57-year-old man turned left in his car despite the ban and collided with a light rail train on Sunday afternoon. Five car passengers were injured, four of them seriously.
