Milan, 21 November (Adnkronos) – “The latest findings show that the confidence index has improved slightly and this is good news. As far as consumers are concerned, there is a more positive vision for the future, but it is lacking in the current situation, as is the case with business. This is a weak signal, still not enough. Of course we are connected to the geopolitical situation”. That’s how Carlo Alberto Buttarelli, president of the Federdistributione spoke at the “Modern Distribution Forum 2025 – Retail in the country’s economy. Markets, technology and society” which took place today in Milan, organized by the Federdistribuzione and attended by Adolfo Urso, Minister of Business and Made in Italy.
“It is necessary – continues Buttarelli – that the budget law allows families and businesses to be supported at a time of transition, where geopolitics certainly does not help realize the vision of calm for society, and therefore impacts consumption”.
“We have made, in the last few days, specific requests both regarding the budget law but also regarding the topic of transition 5.0, in which many of our companies have made investments and, a few days ago, there was a moment of discussion. I believe that today Minister Urso will tell us what initiatives the Government wants to carry out to support the business world and also provide continuity and certainty to the investments of the business world,” he concluded.
