The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office announced this Monday that two men are linked to the case for the murder of Argentine model Fede Dorcaz, which occurred on October 9th. The authorities accuse Andy “N”, detained on October 17 in the Gustavo A. Madero delegation, and Geovanni “N”, arrested on November 20 after a series of searches in the municipalities of Álvaro Obregón and Miguel Hidalgo, of voluntary homicide. Dorcaz, who would have participated in the program The stars are dancing todayhe was intercepted while crossing Periférico early last month by three motorcycles, from which the alleged attackers got off to shoot him.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Andy “N”‘s arrest occurred after a passerby called for help following a robbery. This led to a chase in which the alleged culprit was injured by police from the Secretariat for Citizen Security (SSC), for which he was treated by medical personnel. A month later, Geovanni “N” was arrested during four searches of several properties linked to the murder of the Argentine singer. In this latest operation, according to what the authorities declared, a firearm and three mobile phones were seized.

The two alleged attackers were reconnected to the proceedings of 23 November and, at the same hearing, were placed in protective custody. The judge granted the Prosecutor’s Office a period of two months to continue the investigation, while the accused will remain in the Men of the South preventive prison.

Dorcaz’s murder adds to that of other entertainment personalities who had shaken the capital in recent weeks. A few days earlier, a stylist known as Micky Hair had been murdered in the Polanco neighborhood in what prosecutors considered a direct attack on the periphery of his aesthetic. Additionally, in September, the dismembered bodies of Colombian singers B-King and Regio Clown were found in Cocotitlán, near the state of Mexico, after they were reported missing on September 16 in a crime that authorities linked to drug dealing.
