Ulm-Friedrichshafen connection: Gas leak triggers deflagration – railway line temporarily closed

After a gas leak caused deflagration in a building next to the Ulm-Friedrichshafen railway line, the line was temporarily closed on Monday evening. At around 10 p.m., a resident turned on the lights in a restaurant near Schemmerhofen (Biberach district) and heard a loud noise, police said. POLICE with. Deflagration occurs when a mixture of gas and air burns. No one was hurt. The restaurant was empty at the time.

The route reopened at 11:15 p.m. Residents of the house were forced to leave their apartments temporarily. A police spokesman could not say how many people were affected. It is estimated there was damage of 40,000 euros. Firefighters were on scene with around 100 emergency services.
