“Unacceptable allusions to the use of nuclear weapons” – Il Tempo

There is “a need to strengthen – and not destroy – the architecture relating to disarmament and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, in a phase of history where, on the contrary, we are witnessing unacceptable allusions to the use of weapons of mass destruction”. The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, said this at the United Nations Center in Vienna on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Palermo Convention.
