Valditara: ‘Wrong about feminicide, shameful’. Room Fights – News

“It says that with this bill we will prevent sexual and emotional education in schools, providing information to our young people about the risks of sexually transmitted diseases. That is wrong.” Minister of Education Giuseppe Valditara said this when speaking at the Council regarding the provision of informed consent.

“A sensitive topic like feminization has been exploited, I am angry that you say that this law hinders the fight against feminicide”, “shame on you”, “none of this is in this law”. He received protests from the opposition after these words, resulting in a fight in the DPR.

Valditara called for “education in relationships, respect and empathy, true compassion, the fight against gender violence” which was carried out in schools precisely at the will of the government, thus triggering outcries and protests. Several opposition lawmakers rose from their seats, and current president Anna Ascani asked them several times to be quiet, to keep the tone appropriate to the room and to sit down again.
