It’s called being there, in the right place, at the right time. Police officers from Bac nuit du Val-de-Marne (Bac 94 N) created an official “flag” on Sunday evening, November 23, in Valenton.

At around 8:30 p.m., a patrol was conducting surveillance at the Champ-Saint-Julien ZAC as part of a long-term investigation when, suddenly, they heard three explosions ring out. They immediately recognized the sound of the gun.

They immediately rushed over and found a 37-year-old man with three bullet holes and a 9 mm shell casing on Rue Alfred-Kastler. The victim was affected mainly in the legs and stomach.

A gun, ammunition and body armor were found in the car

Officials supported by colleagues from the Territorial Contact Brigade (BTC) immediately saw a Renault Clio car running away. They managed to intercept it and arrest the driver and passenger.

They found the entire arsenal in the vehicle: a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol, about twenty rounds of ammunition of the same caliber as well as a bulletproof vest.

The victim was transported to the Percy hospital in Clamart (Hauts-de-Seine) in critical condition. She would receive the shot after a “business dispute” with her attacker, according to sources close to the case.

Both suspects were detained. One of them is 30 years old and lives in Vigneux-sur-Seine (Essonne), which is notorious for petty crime. The second, 23 years old, lives in Villejuif. The victim is a resident of Vigneux and is unknown to the justice system.

Police also arrested seven other men who were in the vicinity of the victim at the time of the incident, some of whom were little known to police and the court.

The investigation was entrusted to the Val-de-Marne judicial police. The Créteil prosecutor’s office, contacted, did not want to communicate on this issue.
