This November 25th is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. EL PAÍS takes to the streets to reflect collectively: what do we mean by gender violence, how does it manifest itself and why does it continue to occur?
According to the UN, gender-based violence includes any act that causes physical, sexual, psychological or economic harm to a woman because she is a woman.
In Mexico the data is alarming: 7 out of 10 women over 15 have suffered at least one form of violence, be it psychological, economic, financial, physical or sexual.
