Rome, November 25 (Adnkronos) – Red benches in the Rectory. The University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, as part of the initiative promoted on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, has organized a conference entitled ‘The power of alliances: Institutions, Communities and Services against gender violence’ which will be held on November 26 at 10.30 am at the Rectorate headquarters, at Viale Ellittico 31, Caserta. After the Chancellor’s speech, Gianfranco Nicoletti will speak: the prefect of Caserta, Lucia Volpe, the police commissioner, Andrea Grassi and Francesca D’Olimpio, director of the University’s Department of Psychology. The activities of the University’s Single Assurance Committee (Cug) and the University’s new Center for Clinical and Psychological Services (Scup) will also be presented.

This initiative, which was also created with the hashtag #AmaConLANima.NonConIlPugno#, was born with the aim of encouraging constructive dialogue between institutions, civil society and services, to strengthen joint action networks in the fight against gender violence. “The problem of violence against women – said Chancellor Nicoletti – involves us as an Institution and a Community. Our task is not only to raise awareness, but also to share concrete ideas and strategies, so that the strength of the alliance becomes a shield of protection and hope.” At the end of the event, a red bench will also be inaugurated at the head office of the Rectorate institution, affixed with a special plaque, which is a concrete symbol of the University’s commitment to the national and international #panchinerosse project, which also includes the geolocalization of the installation, so that it becomes visible and becomes a common reference in the network to combat gender violence.
