War in Ukraine: Emmanuel Macron will receive Volodymyr Zelensky in Paris on Monday

A head of state is expected to attend in France. President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron will receive Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Paris on Monday, the Élysée said this Friday. Volodymyr Zelensky’s ninth visit to France since the start of the war launched by Russia in 2022 “will allow reaffirming France’s commitment to Ukraine in the long term and maintaining the dynamics of the work carried out on security guarantees” within the framework of a “coalition of (countries) willing” to support Kiev, the presidential office said.

It will also make it possible “to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of energy, economy and defense”.

The announcement comes after another deadly night in Ukraine, with at least six people losing their lives in Russian attacks.
