“It is not only possible, but also visible. This can be seen from the disproportion, which is of course in our favor, between enthusiasm and attendance at center-right initiatives compared to Fico’s meetings. But also because the incompetence of the center-left presidential candidate and the pact of pure power and family members with De Luca is increasingly clear to voters in Campania.”
What role can we play in this effort?
«For the first time Noi Moderati will be present at the regional elections in Campania. Due to the work we are doing across the region, especially thanks to the continued presence of Maurizio Lupi and Mara Carfagna, we are confident that we can be decisive in winning the centre-right.”
What logic is followed for compiling the list?
“We could first take the simplest path of accepting requests from some well-known voters. But we are not a taxi to get to the Regional Council. So we choose credible and respectable candidates, who have roots in the region. The women and men who first put forward their personal stories are jobs, local administrators and volunteers. We Moderates are and will remain.”
Is quorum an achievable goal?
“The latest polls give us a consensus well above the 2.5% threshold. But there is more, I traveled throughout Campania and everywhere I found a consensus and attention to our proposals that make We Moderates the most appropriate political home for what they are asking for a concrete approach to citizens’ problems but without populism and extremism.”
What is Noi Moderati’s main proposal?
“Health care is an absolute priority. De Luca squandered the great opportunity that the Pnrr provided for a community home, a health facility that could guarantee local assistance. Therefore, the first thing to do is to put a commissioner in all cases of lack of spending capacity of the Pnrr funds. But with Edmondo Cirielli as president, we will make up for the time and opportunities wasted by De Luca. Let’s think about the appropriate income for young people: 500 euros per month for those who enroll in the universities of Campania and achieve an average 27. This is the intervention already planned in Calabria by the center-right council led by Roberto Occhiuto and we will propose it again here. In addition to citizenship income In the field of infrastructure, great attention should be paid to the internal field as we did when Carfagna was Minister of the South. However, the center-left, in the internal area, thinks of a department and therefore a place of power to administer and not to pay attention to the most disadvantaged regions.”
What type of election campaign are you running?
“We had an extraordinary experience with our candidates, militants and national and regional leaders throughout the Campania region, denying the facts those who believed that we would not present such a list. And on the contrary, we became more entrenched than before and especially strengthened by the credibility of many citizens we met from house to house, city after city, country after country. And the opinion polls show us as a novelty in this election campaign.”
Edmondo Cirielli against Roberto Fico, why would Edmondo Cirielli be a better president for Campania?
«For Edmondo, the story speaks: general of the Carabinieri, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, commissioner of the Chamber, already extraordinary president of the Province of Salerno.
