Marseille Mayor Benoît Payan expressed his pain on Thursday on franceinfo following the murder of a 20-year-old man. The victim was the brother of Amine Kessaci, an environmental activist from Marseille.

“We are shocked by what happened”reacts Thursday 13 November on franceinfo Benoît Payan, mayor of Marseille, after the murder of a 20-year-old youth. The victim was the younger brother of Amine Kessaci, a 22-year-old environmental activist from Marseille known locally for his struggle with loved ones who had fallen victim to drug bandits. “This is a tragedy, an upheaval”Benoît Payan’s testimony. “I know the victim’s older brother who campaigned against drug trafficking, against the gangrene that kills, which is destroying the young generation of Marseille and causing harm”added the mayor.
The victim is 20 years old and “is taking the exam to become a peacekeeper. He wants to join the police” convince the chosen one. “If it turns out that this murder was a warning murder, then we will move into a new dimension into something we have never experienced.”The Mayor of Marseille warned.
“We need further confirmation as I speak to you. The police are working on this case, the prosecution is working on this case, two suspects are still being sought, we are waiting to see more clearly to draw conclusions”believes Benoît Payan.

“I thought about his family, I went there, I saw his father, his sister, I spoke to Amine Kessaci on the phone. He was obviously devastated”added the Mayor of Marseille. “He is someone who always criticizes”drug trafficking and “Who would have thought that we should not bow to this drug-trafficking octopus”.
“If the bullying theory can be confirmed”it’s necessary to have it “answer based on what happened”emphasized Benoît Payan.
