“We have nothing to hide”Trump advocates a vote to release the Epstein files
So far, only a few important documents about the Jeffrey Epstein case have been made public. The Control Committee in the House of Representatives can “have it all,” Donald Trump has now shockingly announced and sees a “fabricated group of Democrats.”
US President Donald Trump reversed course and backed a vote in the House of Representatives to release investigative files on late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “Republicans in the House of Representatives should vote to release the Epstein files because we have nothing to hide,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social online platform. So far, the president has opposed publishing the document.
“It’s time to forget the Democratic Party farce orchestrated by radical left-wing crazies,” Trump wrote. The debate over the Epstein dossier only serves to “distract attention from the Republican Party’s major successes” – including the end of the US government shutdown.
“Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive”
The Control Committee in the House of Representatives can “own everything” to which it is legally entitled. “I don’t care,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. Republicans must “get back to what matters,” including U.S. economic policy. In his lengthy post, Trump cited his political successes in recent weeks. His administration brought inflation “from its highest level in history to almost zero.” American investment has increased, the military has been strengthened and deportations of illegal aliens who have committed criminal acts have accelerated.
“No one cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive,” Trump wrote. “Some members of the Republican Party are allowing themselves to be taken advantage of,” growled the US President. “We can’t let that happen,” Trump said. “Let’s start talking about the record-breaking accomplishments of the Republican Party and not falling into Epstein’s trap, which is actually a curse for the Democrats, not us,” Trump wrote.
The backdrop to this is months of demands – including from parts of Trump’s Republican Party and the MAGA movement he leads – to make public all documents about the Epstein scandal. Trump denies having a close relationship with the sex offender. However, published emails and documents suggest otherwise. There are also numerous videos and photos from previous years in which Epstein and Trump are seen together.
Convicted sex offender Epstein was found dead in his New York prison cell in 2019 while awaiting his next trial. According to authorities, he committed suicide. According to the investigation, Epstein had been abusing underage girls and young women for years and passing it on to celebrities. Many Americans and right-wing influencers suspect that the former financial investor was murdered to prevent him from coming forward against his prominent accomplices.
During the election campaign, Trump promised to make all investigative files public. However, after being inaugurated in January, he released only a few important documents. The House of Representatives plans to pass a bipartisan motion this week to force the government to release all Epstein documents.
