A mysterious figure, a woman carrying a handbag, appears in the image taken at 15.07 at the Chiara Poggi crime scene, carrying a handbag and appearing to move naturally in a place that should be sealed and controlled. Who is she? Is she really a woman? His presence, along with that of other unknown persons, undermined one of the fundamental certainties: that the murder scene had been heavily guarded. This is the latest twist in the Garlasco case which appeared on the episode of Ore 14 Sera which aired on November 20.
Who is she?
The first to enter Chiara’s house were several operators at 14.05, followed by Carabinieri from the technical section.
However, the pictures tell something else: unknown faces, figures that no one seems to know. The only person authorized to enter was the prosecutor, but the question remained: why did none of the carabinieri present recognize themselves in that figure? Lawyer De Rensis said: «Where are this woman’s fingerprints? Could it be that nothing was found? Can I get a response from the institutions present?”.
Sempio DNA
Yesterday, Thursday 20 November, the defense team of Andrea Sempio, who is being investigated for his involvement in the murder in the Garlasco crime case, took part in a visit to the Genomics Laboratory in Rome. The appointment, scheduled for 11 am, was also attended by Sempio, who the previous evening gave a controversial interview to Bruno Vespa. His lawyer, Liberio Cataliotti, explained that the aim was to identify places where contact between Sempio and the victim, Chiara Poggi, may have occurred. “If there is DNA linking the two, it is indirect, linked to the same object,” Cataliotti said. The lawyer also underlined that, because Sempio’s fingerprints were not found among the fingerprints found at the crime scene, this could be exculpatory evidence, which would be difficult to refute.
Footprints and shoes
During the anthropometric consultation regarding the case, experts highlighted that the human foot underwent morphological changes over 17 years. The defenders participated in expert opinions where these data were detected, reassuring themselves thanks to the presence of their consultants. During the investigation, Cattaneo consultants returned to a company in the Marche region to get more information about the sole, and found that it was the correct model 42. However, it is unclear whether the insoles were attached to Frau’s shoes, as was initially assumed. Furthermore, attorney De Rensis cast doubt on the cleanliness of the premises involved in the accident, highlighting that the soap dispenser had scale and the sink was dirty, with hair indicating inadequate washing.
47 rubbish bins were inspected along the road linking Stasi to Poggi, as part of the investigation into the crime. Despite careful inspection, no trace of the murder weapon was found. Investigators had hypothesized that the weapon may have been disposed of in the wastewater, but the results did not confirm that hypothesis.
Found a second note from Sempio’s father
Meanwhile, a “second note” was discovered from Giuseppe Sempio regarding the legal costs incurred for his son Andrea. The news that Andrea himself had anticipated telling Bruno Vespa was confirmed by investigators who, according to information, had arrested him, although it was not explained what the money was actually used for. Giuseppe Sempio is being investigated by the Brescia Prosecutor’s Office for alleged corruption of judicial documents alleged against former Pavia prosecutor Mario Venditti who according to prosecutors took money to archive Andrea’s position. The new letter that Sempio attributed to his father does contain a series of numbers, but almost all of them are without recipients, except for technical consultant General Garofano and another for Sempio’s former lawyer, Massimo Lovati.
