From beach clubs to alpine huts: It’s getting cooler now in the Mainzer Landstrasse area – with huts, wine and goose on the menu.

Where sand and palm trees create a beachy feel in summer, now there is the aroma of wine, raclette and Kaiserschmarrn: Gibson Club has opened its first winter market in Frankfurt’s financial district. Until December 23, the area at Mainzer Landstraße 23 will be transformed into a small winter village with nine huts, two bars and a large mountain hut for celebrations.

The stands offer typical Christmas and international food – from potato pancakes and tarte flambées to Brazilian dishes. The Gibson Club itself operates two kiosks with its own wine, cocktails and bar menu. If you like, you can also play padel: the two summer sports fields remain open.

The heart of the winter market is the Tyrolean mountain hut “Chalet 23”. This venue was specially purchased in Tyrol and offers space for up to 180 people. Companies and individuals can rent it for Christmas parties or other events, including catering.

On three Saturdays, the club hosts a “Sexy Goose Dinner” – a mix of fine dining and partying. The goose is carved live at the buffet, accompanied by music, drinks and lots of atmosphere. Dates: November 15 and 29 and December 13, 5 or 8:30 p.m. respectively. The price is 119 euros per person, including drinks. Tickets are sold online in advance.

Gibson’s Winter Market runs through December 23.
