There is only one point missing from the World Cup ticket. But with a performance like that it will be difficult in next summer’s tournament.
The German national team is looking to achieve a 2-0 win against our neighbors at the mini stadium in Luxembourg (9,471 seats). Remains first in Qualifying Group A, level on points with Slovakia (1-0 against Northern Ireland).
Method: On Monday, the team of national coach Julian Nagelsmann (38) had the final in Leipzig to compete for tickets to the World Cup. A draw against Slovakia was enough to secure participation in the tournament.
But. BUT! The first half in particular is very reminiscent thunderous football in the humiliating qualifier 0:2 against Slovakia Early September.
The defense around captain Jonathan Tah (29/wearing the captain’s armband for the ailing Kimmich) was unstable. The attack on returning DFB player Leroy Sané has long been called off.
Luxembourg’s football dwarfs (97th FIFA world ranking) are much better and have top chances through Augsburg’s Aiman Dardari (18th) and St. Petersburg’s Danel Sinani. Pauli (21/29). Oliver Baumann parried several times when he needed it most.
First German national team captain in 42nd international match: Jonathan Tah (29)
Features: That The goalkeeper had almost as many contacts with the ball (33) in the first half as strikers Serge Gnabry (22) and Nick Woltemande (18) combined. Florian Wirtz (9) and Gnabry (26) had the only shots on goal.
Yet another: Things got better in the second half.
Julian Nagelsmann (38) has a lot of work on the sidelines
49th minute: DFB-Returner Leroy Sané wins on the right and passes flat to the middle. Woltemade slides the ball from ten meters into the right corner – 1-0.
69th minute: Double maggots! The Newcastle striker received a brilliant pass from Ridle Baku and glided into the far corner from eight metres. His first doubles in a DFB uniform – Germany playing for the first time new World Cup jerseys (100 euros each)but this team is still far from its best performance in the World Cup.

Nick Woltemade (23) has now scored his last three DFB goals (two against Luxembourg, one against Northern Ireland)
And: Luckily Leon Goretzka was not sent off the field. The Munich player rushed at Barreiro in midfield and was not warned about it. It would be his second yellow card and therefore a yellow-red card.
BILD referee expert Manuel Gräfe said: “A risky entry by Goretzka. But the right decision not to show yellow-red. He clearly played the ball first.”
Ready about BVB: Adeyemi’s new advisor changes EVERYTHING
Goretzka could also take part in future international matches. The qualifying final is against Slovakia on Monday evening.
