Stop gender propaganda in schools and the risk of ideological deviation in the classroom. The League corrected the bill’s objectives regarding sexual education in schools. With the amendment signed by the Honorable Giorgia Latini, middle schools are equated with high schools: it will therefore be possible to organize lessons on this topic, but even in this case, prior consent from parents will be required to participate in training activities on sexuality issues.
However, kindergartens and primary schools are still exempt from applying this rule, as initiatives or projects on sexuality-related issues cannot be organized. A formulation approved by Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara that clarifies the philosophy behind the provisions. “There will no longer be room for propaganda and exploitation in schools. This does not mean that affective education is not taught, on the contrary: for the first time we are introducing it in a structured way. from parents”.
The updated text – discussions in the Council will begin between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow – states that “for kindergartens and primary schools, teaching and planning activities are in any case excluded, as well as other activities that may relate to themes and topics related to sexuality, without prejudice to the provisions of the National Indication”.
The feedback from the survey was more than satisfactory. According to the Kpmg survey, positive opinions dominate and one in three Italians even believe that seeking approval from family (or adult students) is an obligation, and 63% overall have a positive opinion of the act. The bill was also approved by 3 out of 4 voters in a political district with a majority of 4 voters. But even in areas of opposition voters there is no shortage of them, numbering around 47%.
The rapporteur of the provisions, Rossano Sasso, head of the League group in the Commission for Culture, explained that the bill “does not prohibit sexual education”: “It is true that in schools we talk to teenagers and young people about sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancies, education of affection and respect. This is already being done, and indeed Minister Valditara is strengthening it”. However, adds Sasso, “what we want to stop are the ideological distortions favored by the left”: “Thanks to this law, strongly supported by the League, ideological activists, transvestites or artists who do not have pedagogical skills will no longer be able to enter schools to talk to children and teenagers about gender fluidity or rented wombs. For older children, we only ask that families are informed in advance about the content, speakers and teaching materials used.”
The deputy underlined that his aim was “to defend the freedom of family education guaranteed by the Constitution”: “On the left they fight for gender ideology, they sing in Pride floats and they claim to educate children about their vision of
world, even to the point of promoting the buying and selling of children through rented wombs. Instead, we ask that schools remain peaceful places where we can grow and learn, not become battlefields of ideological war.”
