German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius spoke to German lawmakers on Wednesday about America’s peace plan to end the war. For him, “Ukraine must not be forced to surrender its territory unilaterally”. “There can be no peace or surrender for Ukraine,” he believes, because “that would be betrayal” European country. In general, “every effort” carried out for the sake of peace must lead to “Safer Europe”. In this context, he assured, “Germany must redefine its role because we cannot know which alliances we can rely on in the future”.
